REFUND POLICY & PAYMENT TERMS
SHSAT Computer-Adaptive Test (CAT) Simulator

Operator: NYC SHSAT Computer-Adaptive Test (CAT) Simulator LLC (“Company”)
This Refund Policy & Payment Terms document governs all purchases, invoices, and access to the SHSAT Computer-Adaptive Test (CAT) Simulator available at nycshsat.com (the “Service”).
By enrolling in or paying for the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.
SECTION 1 — DEFINITIONS
For purposes of this document:
“Purchaser” means the parent or legal guardian who completes enrollment and authorizes payment.
“Student” means the minor for whom access credentials are issued.
“Digital Delivery” occurs when the Company issues login credentials and system access is made available to the Purchaser or Student.
“Cleared Payment” means funds have fully settled and are no longer pending, reversible, or under review by the payment provider.
“Service” refers to the SHSAT Computer-Adaptive Test (CAT) Simulator, including all associated digital content, systems, analytics, and platform access.
SECTION 2 — REFUND POLICY (DIGITAL PRODUCTS)
Digital Product — All Sales Final
All purchases made through nycshsat.com are for digital, non-returnable educational products delivered electronically.
Due to the nature of digital access, all sales are final and non-refundable.
By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:
Digital access is delivered upon Digital Delivery as defined above.
Digital goods cannot be returned, revoked, or “unaccessed.”
Once login credentials are issued and access is available, the Service is considered delivered in full.
No Refunds Under Any Circumstances
No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:
Non-use or limited use of the Simulator
Scheduling conflicts or changes in availability
Student disengagement or lack of participation
Technical issues related to your personal device, browser, or internet connection
Perceived or subjective value
Changes in academic plans or priorities
Test scores, rankings, or admissions outcomes
Duplicate purchases made by the same household
SECTION 3 — PAYMENT CLEARING & ACCESS ACTIVATION
Payment Clearing Requirement
Access to the Service is granted only after Cleared Payment.
Typical clearing timelines include:
ACH bank transfers: 3–5 business days
Wire transfers: 1–3 business days
Credit or debit cards: subject to issuer settlement and fraud review
No refunds will be issued during or after the clearing period.
SECTION 4 — NO GUARANTEES
The Company makes no guarantees regarding:
Test scores
Score improvement
Rankings
Admission to any specialized high school
Outcomes depend on individual factors including prior knowledge, effort, and test-day performance, all of which are beyond the Company’s control.
The Service is a self-guided digital simulation tool designed for familiarity with format and testing conditions.
SECTION 5 — UNAUTHORIZED PURCHASES
Purchases made by parents or legal guardians for minors are considered authorized if completed by the cardholder or bank account owner.
Digital products, once delivered as defined herein, are not eligible for return-based refund claims.
SECTION 6 — PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
Accepted Payment Methods
The Company may accept:
ACH bank transfers
Credit cards
Debit cards
Wire transfers
Other Stripe-supported payment methods
Payment availability may vary by region.
Payment Authorization
By submitting payment, you represent and warrant that:
You are the authorized owner of the selected payment method
You voluntarily authorize the Company to process the transaction
All submitted information is accurate and complete
The Company may request identity verification if fraud is suspected.
SECTION 7 — DIGITAL DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
Digital Delivery is fulfilled when the Company:
Activates the Student’s digital account, and
Issues login credentials via the email provided during enrollment
Delivery is not dependent on the Purchaser signing a Digital Access Acceptance Receipt.
Failure to sign the receipt:
Does not indicate non-delivery
Does not entitle the Purchaser to a refund
Does not constitute grounds for a dispute or chargeback
The Company may establish delivery using:
Credential issuance records
Email delivery logs
Server and access logs
Device or browser validation
Communication records
SECTION 8 — ACCESS CONTROL
The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate access without refund if:
Fraud or unauthorized access is suspected
Login credentials are shared
Terms of Service are violated
SECTION 9 — TAXES
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees imposed by your jurisdiction.

Nothing in this document limits a Purchaser’s rights under applicable law. However, improper or unjustified chargebacks or payment disputes for digitally delivered products, where Digital Delivery has occurred as defined herein, constitute a breach of these Terms and may result in legal action or collections activity.
